A chance remark by a comedian has re-ignited the debate about homework. It’s a bit of a perennial this one. Rather like the school sports day issue, it’s a bonfire that never quite goes out quite, its embers flaring up from time to time.
I am going to ask what may be a daft question, but what is the point of England’s National Curriculum? Maybe someone with some detailed knowledge of education can assist me, but it seems to have been rendered obsolete by the Government’s ever changing education policies.
Are you concerned about the amount of pressure children are put under in the education system? It’s something I have previously written about, although with only one young child at school the pressure isn’t too bad at this stage.
