Digital For Good starts with an interesting observation. Us parents grew up in the physical world. Our children, meanwhile, are growing up in both the physical and online worlds. It’s up to us mums and dads to help them learn about these worlds and navigate them.
To mark father’s Day, I thought I’d publish a special photo. Both my kids, Helen and Izzy, have been kept busy taking images for the school photography club during lockdown. Izzy has been a little obsessed with my Lensball and this is an image she took for this week’s photography club assignment.
Do you tidy away your children’s LEGO pieces? I normally do, but I recently let the vacuum cleaner do its worst to a LEGO character and it’s been on my conscience ever since.
There I was, planning blog content for the next few weeks when I stumbled across this forgotten photograph in an obscure drive on my computer. It shows my eldest daughter Helen, taking a break from playing with some LEGO models to stare right at my camera lens.
I’ve dedicated a lot of time over the past year to improving my photography. Sometimes it’s a case of taking pictures of something interesting in unusual environments and so I’ve been experimenting and taking pictures of LEGO models in different settings.
