I am sure this year I am seeing more dragonflies than ever. I suspect it’s because I’m spending more time outside with the children because the schools are closed, although I do wonder if there’s an environmental reason for it.
You could be forgiven for thinking I have a thing about bees. This is the second ‘bee’ photograph I have posted on the blog in recent months but this particular bee was so obliging and the image so detailed I felt the need to share it.
Having decided to sell up and move house, I haven’t had a huge amount of spare time to concentrate on photography this week. Even so, when my latest toy, a Lensball, arrived from the Netherlands on Friday, I simply had to take it out and see what it could do.
Still bitten by the nature photography bug, I’ve been out in my favourite patch of common land photographing the flora and fauna. I had an amazing piece of luck when I managed to get a picture of this butterfly resting on a flower.
I have become a little obsessed with nature photography over recent weeks. I’ve spent ages and ages on some nearby common land taking photographs of insect life, including this bee collecting pollen.
