If you visited my blog a few week’s ago, you’ll probably recognise this as Holy Isle off the coast of the Isle of Arran. The big difference, of course, is that this picture was taken at night!

The world is split between two sorts of people: Those who enjoy camping and those who don’t. The Camping Life was written with the aim of inspiring those who don’t enjoy camping to try sleeping under canvass.
Why oh why has this blog post got a French headline? The reason is simple: Arc en ciel means rainbow in French and this picture was taken, yup, you guessed it, on a rainy day in France.
Over the years I have become quite accustomed to travelling with children. Not only have we made our share of overseas jaunts, but with family in Scotland and the Cotswolds, we are used to travelling long distances to see relatives.
You can tell it’s the end of the school year. The children have been getting more excitable and us parents have got a bit slack at doing homework and ensuring the school uniform is ironed and pristine (or is it just me?)
