An educational experience at Kidzania London

As I revealed a few weeks ago, I was recently appointed an ambassador for Kidzania London. It’s a venue my kids love because the experience gives them some independence and they love the idea of earning money.

“Daddy, will you come on the rollercoaster with me?”

Just before the end of the Christmas holidays, we found ourselves at a theme park. It was the last chance to have fun before having to update homework diaries, clean school shoes, put together school uniform and write the final few thank you letters.

There is no question that Kidzania is a unique experience. You have a very good idea what to expect when going to most theme parks, museums and other attractions. When you’re told you’ll be visiting “an indoor city run by kids,” the possibilities are endless and possibly make you feel a little nervous!

London’s Square Mile at night

If you like bright, colourful lights, I think you’ll like this picture. It’s a long-exposure shot of the Square Mile in Central London taken from Hayes Galleria on the south side of the River Thames.

Toying with selective colour while Mother’s Day goes on hold

I paid a visit to LEGOLAND Windsor yesterday with Helen and Izzy. I rattled off numerous pictures of this climer as they (is it a he or a she? I have no idea) neared the summit. When I got the images back home and had opened them on my desktop, I came to the conclusion there was only one way to enhance the picture and that was to highlight the model using selective colour.

A LEGO climber nears the summit of a mountain. I tried various editing tricks to improve the image but eventually settled on using selective colour to make the model stand out.
