It’s been another fun week in lockdown. The only thing that has noticeably changed is that amount of traffic on the roads. With the schools having returned, the roads are horrendously busy at drop off and pick up.
I’ve reached a point in my fatherhood journey where I find myself dealing with a very complex issue: Nurturing a healthy attitude to risk in my children. There’s no handbook for this one and I have to be honest, it’s a tricky one.
There’s been a collective sigh of relief that the UK’s various Government’s have revealed their plans for relaxing lockdown. Even so, we’re at least four months away from getting back to the ‘new normal’ and in the meantime we need to keep fit without the benefit of gyms, sports clubs, leisure centres and so on.
We’ve had a second blast of cold weather and it’s brought us further respite from the monotony of lockdown. At the end of each remote schooling day, I’ve taken the children out for an hour or two and it’s given them a real chance to explore the great outdoors because there’s been snow and ice
