When The Shard was under construction, I would regularly catch the train into London Bridge and look up at the steel and glass monolith with deep suspicion. I couldn’t see how it was going to add to London’s skyline.
I took this image of the River Thames while walking across London Bridge a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t expect the image to work out, but I was very happy with the end result.
Here is an image I recently took of The Shard in London. It was a big experiment as I was taking the shot directly into bright sunlight.
Earlier this week I went to a bloggers’ event in Central London. Getting there involved passing through London Bridge Station. As I left the station I looked up and this is what caught my eye. For a variety of reasons, I’ve never been a huge fan of the Shard, but it does look very majestic
