The South London suburb of Croydon and I have a bit of history. Once upon a long-time-go I lived and worked in the centre of the borough and to this day I don’t live a billion miles away. It was quite fitting, therefore, when I was set a challenge to return and go window shopping
Leading up to Christmas, I was doing all the usual things preparing for the big day: buying presents, posting cards, decorating the house and so on. In addition to this, I was also judging photographs for eHarmony’s annual Love Captured competition. Nothing like keeping busy hey? Entrants submitted photographs showing what love meant to them.
The photograph below is one I could stare at all day long. It’s not so much the content of the image, but the many stories behind the couples who added these padlocks, or love locks, to the bridge. The image was taken on the Ponte Romana bridge in Tavira, Portugal when we on holiday in
Every now and again my children do something that reminds me, as a father, I’m in a position of great authority and that they trust me. It’s often a very simple thing, like stopping in the middle of a task and waiting to be told what to do.
I can’t claim to be the best photographer, but I do like to get out and about with my camera. My regular participation in the #MySundayPhoto linky proves how much I enjoy looking at the world through a viewfinder.
