Regular readers may have noticed I haven’t written anything about the GCSE maths exam I sat back in November. Here is my news, and strange news it is!
I wasn’t going to write this blog post. I was going to wait until January, but I’ve had such a surreal experience I just can’t hold it in. The experience I’ve had? I’ve just sat a GCSE exam as an adult, decades after I last attempted one.
Every now and again, my children come home from school and mention something about their day that knocks me sideways. One such occasion happened earlier this week when Helen, my nine-year-old, came home talking about Katy Perry.
