During the Easter holidays, I found myself in a slightly embarrassing position. I was at the Lawn Tennis Association’s headquarters in London with Helen, my eldest daughter.
For the past few months, my seven-year-old daughter, Helen, has been badgering me for tennis lessons. The catalyst for this was a blogger event we participated in earlier this year as guests of the Lawn Tennis Association and BritMums.
As a kid, I played some tennis. In fact as a teenager, my family had collective lessons for a short while; mother, stepfather and I on the tennis court together (my brothers being too young). Alas, I put down my tennis racket at about the age of 14 and have barely touched one since. Regular
My wife and youngest daughter went to a supermarket café for lunch yesterday. There’s no question they got the rough end of the deal as Helen and I spent the day in Birmingham watching the Davis Cup doubles tennis match between Great Britain and Japan. This wasn’t just any old tennis match, however, oh no.
What could be more British than watching Wimbledon on a big screen at a fete in the rain? Nothing, that’s what and here’s a picture of my two girls doing just that.
