Disclosure of sponsored content and other forms of advertising

This blog is written and edited by me, John Adams. This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation.

I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. Advertisements / sponsored content will be clearly identified using one of the following in the article’s headline and also in any social media posts (or description of any video):

  • #AD
  • AD
  • (AD)

On some occasions, a badge may be displayed at the top of a blog post identifying it as an Advertising Feature.

On rare occasions I am given or loaned items so I can produce an unbiased review, but am not paid to do so. In these circumstances, the fact I have been loaned or given an item will be declared, either by use of #AD in the headline and any social media posts, in the very first paragraph of text in any blog post or the description of any video. This fact may also be declared in social media posts using an appropriate statement such as: Product gifted or product loaned.

This is to comply with guidance from both the Advertising Standards Authority and Competitions and Markets Authority.

The owner of this blog is sometimes compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. Even though the owner of this blog receives compensation for posts or advertisements, he always gives honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are the blogger’s own or representatives appointed by the owner (ie guest writer).

Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.
