I can’t lie, this week is proving tough. Thankfully, I got out with Izzy for a really long and much needed walk this morning. Spotted this pond and the trees reflected in it. You know me, I love a reflection so I just had to take the pic!

Roll on the summer holidays. I can’t wait!

I mean come on, how awesome is this? After a tough week (...this one has been very demanding) the ONE thing I needed to stumble across was a ‘ladybird crossing.’

Anyone else want to hide after three months of homeschooling?

As far as I am concerned, we can’t get to the school holidays fast enough. If anything, having one child at school and the other at home has been more challenging.

It’s also given us an insight as to what the ‘big’ return to school could be like in September. I think pupils will probably settle very quickly into the formal learning g regime, but socially, things could be tough.

Can you believe this is a picture of @lspraggan?? It’s amazing what a love of fitness and 11 months and one day without booze can do for an individual (yes, it’s 11 months and one day since Lucy last had a drink). Anyway, I had the great fortune to interview Lucy last week. We spoke about her forthcoming album ‘Choices’ her love of fitness and why she feels her life is better without booze.

Lucy also has a background as a foster mum. It was interesting to get her thoughts on this and to hear her plan to adopt when she’s older and more settled.
She was a glorious interviewee: Warm, funny and frequently dropped the f-bomb.

“What are you looking at?” I shared my last “normal” photo taken before lockdown was introduced. Here’s an image taken as the “new normal” emerges.

I took my children out for a picnic earlier in the week. It was significant as it was the furthest either of them had travelled since March.
Helen has returned to school so has integrated back in to the world but for Izzy, this really was her first proper venture away from the family home.

The three of us had the most amazing time. I was a bit worried about how Izzy might respond but we had the most wonderful afternoon.
