Review: Heat Holders thermal socks

A VPN is an essential component of IT security, whether you’re just starting a business or are already up and running. Most business interactions and transactions happen online and VPN

I wouldn’t normally review this kind of item, but I’m very fussy about socks so thought “why not?”

Heat Holders socks. Very warm, but not to be confused with lingerie.
Heat Holders socks. Very warm, but not to be confused with lingerie.

As the name suggests, these are warm socks, very warm. They have a fleece-like lining, a “long looped thermal pile” (whatever that is…) and claims to be made from an “advanced insulating yarn”.

Putting all the impressive claims to one side, they are warm and very comfortable. Heat Holders are also available as slipper socks and I can imagine them appealing to people that wear slippers (I don’t). These footwear marvels are 91% acrylic, 5% nylon, 1% polyester and 1% elastane and they’re available in children’s and adult’s sizes.

The one small issue is that after wearing once they are beginning to go a little fuzzy. These socks, however, are designed to be worn in tough conditions and with wellington boots so I don’t see this as too much of an issue as you aren’t going to show them off to the world.

Stockists include House of Fraser, Debenhams and T.K Maxx. More information is at http://heatholders.com
