I’ve long been an advocate of limiting the amount of screen time children have. I accept screen time is a fact of life, but I want it balanced and to my children are undertaking physical activities, ideally outside, in addition to spending sensible amounts of time with screens. I also think too much screen time can have a negative impact on children’s behaviour and the results of a survey from kitchen appliance manufacture Beko provides further evidence this is correct.
Over recent days, many families have had a perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy time with each other. A combination of snow and closed schools has seen many mums and dads, myself included, out in the white stuff zooming down hills on sledges, building snowmen and chucking snowballs at each other.
You know when someone gives you advice that you ignore, only for it to turn out to be brilliant? Well, this happened to me the other day while introducing Elizabeth, our three-year-old, to some new vegetables.
Our kids are very good at eating fruit. Veg, however, can sometimes be a struggle. I wanted to see if I could get Izzy, as we call her, eating some raw carrot and red pepper as she can be a fussy eater. View Post
