Here’s a fun snap taken yesterday. It’s the kind of thing that appears in most family photo albums.
We had a family day out yesterday afternoon and visited a place in Surrey called Priory Farm that has a ‘Discovery Walk’. The kids get to see different animals and trees and play in the open air.
In deference to the time of year, the walk has been given a Christmas-themed makeover. This cut out was on the path and Helen and Izzy ran straight over to it.
The next thing I heard was “Daddy can you take a picture?”
I could hardly say no. I had my camera in my hand and was taking some landscape shots. It’s not an award-winning image, but I like the expressions on the kids’ faces. They were clearly having fun.
I have linked the picture up to the splendid #MySundayPhoto linky hosted by the frankly brilliant Photalife blog. Please do click on the badge below to visit the linky and explore some amazing photography from other bloggers.

What a cute, Christmas photo. Helen is looking so grown up these days!
(Enjoy them asking you to take their photo, in my experience it doesn’t last for long… )
Oh yes, Helen is looking very grown up. Almost comes up t her mother’s shoulders. It’s frightening. I’ll keep in mind it doesn’t last for long!
very cute. merry xmas to you.
Glad you think to Sherry. Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas too.
So adorable! It seldom happens that my boys ask me to take a picture, only 5 minutes ago my 3 year old asked me to take a picture of him with his undies on his head! Happy Christmas #mysundayphoto
My youngest seems to quite like having her picture taken. I know it goes against the grain but there you go! Happy Christmas to you and yours also.
Beautiful photo, my girls are at the age where they don’t want their photo taken.
Have a very Merry Christmas.
