With the weather steadily improving I’m turning my mind to the DIY jobs that need doing in the garden. I don’t know about you, but I always find this involves getting filthy, especially in that period between winter and spring when the ground is still wet and muddy.

To save my clothes, I have turned to the workwear range from Aldi. Let me be clear, this is not the kind of thing I would wear out, but for doing DIY around the family home, this stuff is ideal.

My favourites are the Premium Pro Holder Pocket Work Trousers. Priced at £19.99 They have re-enforced knees, hems and holster pockets plus a mobile phone pocket and loops for tools.

Another item in the range is the premium softshell jacket. Priced at £9.99, this is a basic fleece jacket with sip up pockets. It’s warm and ideal for cold days.

For warmth, there is also a base layer tee-shirt (£9.99) and base layer trouser (£7.99). Made of a mix of man-made fibres, both items are designed to be worn under your clothes and boast features to keep the moisture away from your skin while also allowing air to circulate.

The tee shirt has been a hit in this household with my daughter. Although massive on her, she’s taken a real shine to it. Apparently it’s good for when dressing up like a cat!

There are a variety of other products including work boots, gloves and jackets.

All items are available in store while stocks last. For more information, please see the Aldi website.

  1. Hello, just wondered if you know why the Aldi shelves are empty of their fantastic “Specially Selected Exquisite Mince Pies”. They are featured on page 2 of the Favourite Things magazine. This is without doubt the finest MP I have tasted bar none. A bit pricey, £2.99 for 6 but wow are they good. Seems very strange to be out of stock or withdraw when we are 3 and a bit weeks from xmas ? Hope you can help. Best wishes Tony H.
