Who does the DIY in your family? Despite the fact my wife and I have swapped traditional gender roles, the responsibility for all DIY tasks falls squarely on my shoulders.
I wouldn’t claim to be particularly good, but if I think I can do a job, I’ll always have a go. In fact I live by the mantra that you should be able to take your age and divide it by two. The number you arrive at represents the number of power tools you should possess.
I’ve had my share of DIY successes. Occasionally I even manage to impress my wife. I am, however, honest enough to admit I’m responsible for my share of DIY disasters too (if you ever meet my other half, don’t mention the fireplace surround).
The question is, how honest are you? DIY expert Ronseal carried out a survey of 2,000 Brits and came up with some interesting results. Take a look at the infographic below and see if any of this applies to you and your family.
