I’m facing an age-old problem and I need answers. At what point do you intervene and tidy your child’s bedroom on their behalf? Should you even consider doing this or does it simply create problems in later life?

I hardly need to point out the past few weeks have been very strange. As a family, I think we adjusted to the ‘new normal’ of lockdown life with incredible speed, but for the first couple of weeks it was all about ensuring Helen and Izzy were settling into being homeschooled and weren’t too stressed
I am teetering on the brink of taking up ornithology. This, my friends, is what social distancing / life in lockdown has done to me. I’m finding the greatest pleasure from the simplest things and if there’s one thing I’m really enjoying, it’s birdsong and the dawn chorus.
