When I was a young child, I told my mother I wanted to be buried at sea. I’m really not sure where my obsession with a sea burial came from. I look back on it now with some irony as I didn’t even start learning to swim until I was eight.
The past week has been…educational. If you follow my social media channels, you’ll know I have had both my children at home from school because they were ill. Both had different illnesses with different symptoms, but housework and freelance work still had to be done.

I’m starting this week with a philosophical question. Is it justifiable to monitor your child’s whereabouts using their mobile phone and a location tracker app?
It’s time for me to express an opinion that may not prove all that popular. You know when you have very young children and people tell you; “It gets easier”? Yeah, well, I’m not convinced. No, I’ll go further still. I think it’s a very misleading phrase.
