I wouldn’t normally recommend lurking round isolated parts of London late at night, especially when it’s been raining. As I hope you’ll agree from seeing this image, sometimes those are the ideal conditions for producing a memorable photograph.
Does anyone else feel like they’re in an out of control tailspin, hurtling towards the summer school holiday? I didn’t expect to feel like this. With a lot of attractions closed, travel limited and one child at school and one being homeschooled, I thought we’d have a gentle and stree-free slide into the summer break.
There’s a funny story behind this photograph of a ladybird crossing. This week has been very demanding (more about that in a moment). Feeling the need to take a break from it all for an hour or so, I shut myself away and started working on a new project using Photoshop.
“Daddy get a photo of the swan,” said the children. The swan was only too happy to oblige. On seeing my camera, it waddled over to me and this was the picture I snapped.
It’s been another manic week, all the more so as Helen returned to school for a couple of settling in days before the ‘big’ return this week. Despite being so busy, I did manage to take a few images with my camera and Lensball, although it didn’t quite go to plan.
