Some time ago I went through a spell of posting long-exposure images to the blog. It’s a technique I love and what I used to take this image of Waterloo Bridge in Central London. It’s also known as The Ladies’ Bridge and if you want to know why, then please read on.
Oh my word I spent absolutely ages trying to take this image of these beetles. While my kids played nearby, I watched as these two bugs danced round each other. Keen to get a decent shot, I took loads of pictures of them.
A couple of months ago, I asked my kids what they’d like to do during the summer holidays. “Visit Wales” was their unequivocal response. In fact they were more precise. They wanted to go to Porthcawl. It was a rare moment: Both kids agreed on something and no negotiation was required.
Yes, it’s happened! After months of not seeing my extended family thanks to lockdown, Helen, Izzy and I have just returned after spending a few days with granny, my brothers their wives and children. While visiting them, we came across this bizarre sight of aircraft being taken apart by salvage specialists, but I’ll come on
