This is wee little picture of our forlorn vegetable patch. Actually, it’s just one small corner of the vegetable patch, the most photogenic corner. I couldn’t bring myself to take a picture of the rest of it because it’s become home to numerous weeds and it a truly dreadful state.
As regular readers will be aware, My second daughter was born in late 2012. As a result I haven’t had a huge amount of time to spend in the garden this year. As anyone with more than child will know, more than one child means considerably more than double the work and so my time has been spent with the family. It’s a shame because I like spending time in the garden growing plants so I can show my children, especially our eldest, where their food comes from and how it grows.
It’s been on my mind to tidy up the vegetable patch for ages. I have to thank work-wear specialist Dickies for giving me the nudge to finally do something about this. The company’s shortly to launch a campaign called #DickiesJobDone.
From early 2014, you’ll be able to submit a photo of yourself getting your job done on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Pinterest. A winner will be chosen once a month and will receive a £100 voucher to spend at DickieStore.
Here’s a picture of me, getting the vegetable patch done. Good luck to you if you chose to have a go and remember to post using the hashtag #DickiesJobDone.
