I think the picture is a little misleading! It’s definitely the correct place to blow away the cobwebs but not if you wish to find peace and serenity. It’s so windy there’s a small wind farm just out of the shot.
It was taken in a part of Scotland near Glasgow. The colours and landscape you get up there are awe inspiring. A part of the world I’m very attached to.
As it happens it wasn’t remotely peaceful! It was incredibly windy but, thankfully, not at all cold. It’s a lovely spot that I plan to return to aagain.

Ooh, looks cold and bleak….was it? Great colours though!
It wasn’t cold but it certainly had its bleak moments. That said, three days ago the sun was out and it looked glorious. A very beautiful spot indeed.
Beautiful, windswept scene. If it’s near Glasgow and a wind farm, I’ve probably been nearby at some point or another 🙂
I say Glasgow, it’s closer Cumbernauld. Not that it narrows it down. Every time you blink a new wind turbine pops up!
i want to sing a kate bush song looking at this picture “Heathcliff its me Kathy”
Brilliant, just brilliant. That comment genuinely made me laugh out loud.
Fabulous autumn colours. Looks like it’s really peaceful there albeit a bit nippy at times going on the comments. It’s a great shot 🙂

It’s a while since I’ve had a proper tramp around in the hills, but you can’t beat a good bit of Scottish countryside, and we’ve got loads of it!
Yup, there’s no shortage of good Scottish countryside! Just wish I had more of a chance to tramp around it myself.
