The Marlow messenger is a great looking changing bag from JoJo Maman Bebe. It’s also very subtle; there’s nothing on the bag to mark it out as a changing bag so it could easily be used as a man-bag (…or mum bag) if you needed one.
Amongst other things, the item features;a large zipped front pocket, a zipped pocket for mobile phone and wallet, four internal pockets, a large rear pocket with changing mat and a further pocket that’s been insulated for carrying a baby’s milk bottle. Another nice feature is a zip in the top that enables you to dive into that bag without opening it up, always useful if you don’t want the kids to see any food or sweets that might be kept within.
Something else worth mentioning is the strap. You can simply sling this bag over your shoulder. Alternatively you can adjust the strap and wear it over your back like a rucksack if you wish.
As for dimensions, the bag is 27cm high, 36.5 cm wide and 14cm deep. I thought it was a really nice size and unobtrusive although if you have twins or tend to carry round lots of toys you may require something a bit bigger.
This is a great looking item and one I would happily be seen using in public. The only thing that did cause me concern was the clips on the shoulder strap. They’re spring loaded and I think there would be tears if a curious little hand started fiddling with them. Just keep this in mind if you have a young one with that likes to explore such items.
This is a good quality items and at £40 it is competitively priced compared to rivals. It’s versatility as a changing / man bag scores bonus points with me. You can buy the Marlow from the JoJo Maman Bebe website or from one of its 61 stores across the UK and Ireland.
