The Vinnebago is a flask with a difference. It’s the latest product from Corkcile, producers of the Chillsner beer cooler.
The Vinnebago has a different purpose. It’s been designed to keep wine chilled so you can transport it to picnics or barbecues etc. It can, however, also be used to transport hot drinks.
Needless to say, none of us are likely to be going on any picnics or parties at this time of year. Priced at £29.99, this is a great item for the Christmas gift market.
Before deciding whether to buy, you’ll want to know whether it works. It claims to keep cold drinks chilled for up to 25 hours. I tested it with water, instead of wine and found it worked very well.
I also tested it with tea. I brewed some at about 5am and then went through the whole rigmarole of getting the kids up and doing the school run. Okay, so this wasn’t quite the 12 hours Corkcile claims it can keep a drink warm, but the tea came out pretty much as hot as it went it.
The one advantage the Vinnebago has is that it’s reasonably aesthetically pleasing. It looks a little like a cocktail shaker and so much nicer to have in your kitchen than an old fashoined flask.
This product performs well. It would make a great gift for anyone that enjoys the great outdoors and it is available from Firebox.com.
